Gary Christian joins the Golf Traveller team as Global Ambassador

We are delighted to announce that former PGA Tour Professional, and current day commentator, Gary Christian, has joined our team as a Global Golf Traveller Ambassador.

Christian was born in Carshalton, England but played college golf at Auburn University before turning Pro in 1997. He picked up his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour at the 2009 Northeast Pennsylvania Classic, where he defeated Mathias Grönberg in a playoff.

Gary has also played on several mini tours where he has won over 30 events. In 2012, aged 40, he graduated to the PGA Tour, playing in 28 events, making 18 cuts and having a best finish of T-10 at RBC Canadian Open. Impressively he made the FedEx Cup Playoffs in his rookie season.

Since his touring career ended, Gary has been working as a commentator and PGA Tour analyst for the Golf Channel, SKY and ESPN+. In addition to his media responsibilities he coaches and mentors golfers of all levels.

Commenting on his appointment Billy Gammon, Co-Founder of Sports Travel Group, commented,

"It's a pleasure to welcome Gary to our team and we're excited about all the opportunities this will bring our clients. Gary brings a wealth of experience, having competed at the highest level as well as working in front of the camera in recent years. We are delighted to have him on our team to bring another dimension to all experiences and another layer of unique insight and expertise to our business."
